WHO WE ARE

Cadence OTC is on a mission to increase over-the-counter (OTC) access to safe, effective, affordable contraceptives. We own the rights to three of the most popular oral contraceptive formulations, and we’re in the process of moving the birth control pill over-the-counter and bringing OTC emergency contraceptives to convenience stores. The company was founded by renowned reproductive health experts and experienced healthcare entrepreneurs, and supported by a remarkable group of investors who care deeply about making birth control equally accessible to all people. Cadence OTC is a Public Benefits company in Oakland California.

ACCESS TO BIRTH CONTROL CHANGES EVERYTHING
icon
We believe birth control pills should be as easy to buy as condoms. It just makes sense.

2.3 million unintended pregnancies happen each year in the U.S. alone, almost half of all pregnancies.

We’re serious about access, so we’re teaming up with local convenience stores in contraceptive deserts.

2 out of 3 people living in small U.S. towns can’t find emergency contraceptives in their local stores.

Our team can’t wait to bring safe and trusted birth control to everybody everywhere. We’re literally working on it right now.
